I am a values-driven communicator who believes in the power of authentic storytelling. With a strong focus on values and ethics, I choose to work with organisations and projects that align with my principles, so that I can craft complelling narratives that are meaningful and true to purpose.
With a background of more than two decades as a professional storyteller, I have specialised in creating communications that inform, inspire, and connect. As a print and digital journalist, I honed my skills with words, and, I learnt to tell inspiring stories by putting people at the centre of it all.
My transition into public relations and strategic communications allowed me to refine my expertise— teaching me that magic happens when stories are not just told but strategically positioned to create real impact where the relationship takes centre stage.
More recently, I have established and led a dedicated teams, driving initiatives that strengthened iwi engagement and public outreach. My expertise includes media relations, content development, crisis communications, and digital storytelling, with a foundation in te reo Māori, tikanga, and te ao Māori.
Now, through my boutique communications consultancy, I want to work on kaupapa I believe in so that I can create strategic and creative storytelling that is genuine and authentic. I want to blend words, visuals, and video to craft messages that are clear, compelling, and culturally attuned. And, most of all, I want to tell stories that resonate deeply and create lasting impact.
